The Pilot advised DFW's Air Traffic Control that he had run out of fuel and needed to safely land his airplane. The San Angelo Police Department’s Communications Division received a call for service earlier this morning regarding a pilot needing to conduct an emergency landing from the DFW's Air Traffic Control. No injuries or damage were reported as a result of the emergency landing due to the Pilot’s quick actions. San Angelo, TX (June 26, 2023, 9:00am): An airplane Pilot successfully navigated an emergency landing earlier this morning on Knickerbocker Road after running out of fuel. This is an active investigation and the SAPD ask that anyone with information regarding this incident please contact Det. The suspect was taken into custody on 8/4/23 and it is believed that this incident is not connected to the shooting incident that took place on West 19 th and Brown Street. It was learned that the suspect (a 16-year-old male) was believed to have discharged the firearm and that he had fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival. SAPD’s Criminal Investigations and Crime Scene Division were requested on scene to assist. The SAFD transported the female to Shannon Medical Center where she was later pronounced as deceased. Officers arrived on scene and located an unconscious 17-year-old female who had an apparent gunshot wound on her back. The San Angelo Police Department was dispatched to a residence in the 1300blk of Paisano Place in reference to a shooting victim. San Angelo, TX (August 3, 2023, 8:13pm): A 17-year-old female is deceased after a shooting that took place yesterday evening at a residence in the Northeast side of San Angelo.
